Because I’ve chosen to sell directly to you (and through a collection of select stylists), the costs behind the Wendistry line are different than they would be for a designer brand that sells wholesale to department stores or other retailers which then sells to consumers.
In a wholesale model, many brands sell an item to a retailer at twice what it cost them to produce it to make their profit. The retailer, which needs to make a profit as well, then doubles the wholesale cost to arrive at the final price tag you see in a store.
My idea of the perfect equation?
Everything that went into making the Wendistry Spring/Summer ’17 collection…

500 custom zipper pulls
that glide like butter and keep your stuff stored
An item that will make your arm (and your neck and your jacket) ARTISTIC.
All handbags starting at $350 plus silks starting at $50.
(Not bad for completely handmade by small-business women in Dallas, right?)
How to Care for Your Handbag:
All handbags are individually designed and hand-painted. As collector’s items, each highly curated colorway is individually SIGNED and NUMBERED as a limited edition piece. The painted surface is glazed with genuine artist’s acrylic glaze, so it will never smear, run, or come off. It’s best to store your handbag within its dustcover bag in a dry place between 30 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
How to Care for Your Silks:
- Hand wash in sink with cool water and 1 capful of Woolite Extra Delicates Care.
- Soak for 10 minutes.
- Rinse gently, but well, and press the excess water out with a towel on a flat surface.
- Lay flat on a clean, dry towel to air dry.
- Iron on low heat if a sharp, crisp texture is desired.
